My dryer has been giving my trouble starting when I push the button to start it makes a clicking noise like it is trying to start but does not start. I have had this issue for a while but before it would start but now it will not. I want to know if it is fixable or time for a new one. Thanks

ANSWER Hello Cindy. You can test the push to start switch 33001618 and see if it reads closed when the switch is closed. If not, it needs to be replaced. If it is good, try turning the motor by hand with the door switch taped closed and see if the unit starts. If so, you will need to replace the motor. If it still does not run, you will need to test the thermal fuse 307473 on the dryer and see if the fuse is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
