I purchased a new model MDBH979AWB3, Maytag dishwasher. It was a floor model so they had no paperwork with it. I had my handi-man install it. When he went to do a test run it was leaking water around the base of the motor and went to touch it he felt a tingle. Was there any shippping parts that are supposed to be removed once it is installed?
ANSWER Rob, No, there are no shipping materials associated with the pump/motor assembly, or interior components. Check and make sure the dishwasher pump housing is not setting on the floor under the unit, and make sure there are no cracks in the bottom of the tub in the pump area. If the impeller seal or pump housing has a leak, and the power supply is active, you could get a "tingle" or zapped if the water reaches ath motor windings or wire connectors. Under the circumstances your best bet woild be to order/replace the pump/motor assembly W10298344. Good Luck and Thanks
