I purchase a Maytag dishwasher, model MDBH979awb3, new. It was a store display and did not come with any paperwork. When it was installed they ran a test cycle and water was coming out of the bottom onto the electrical parts. The person installing it got a tingle when he touched the unit so I tripped the breaker and have not done anything else with it. Is there any shipping braces or something that is supposed to be removed before installation?
ANSWER Hello Rob. You will need to check and see where the water is leaking from. Make sure they connected the drain hose correctly under the dishwasher before the install. The hose has to be connected to the drain hose pipe under the dishwasher. If it is not, water will come out of the drain hose in the bottom. Hope this helps.
