I have a whirlpool load sensing washing machine that is only 2 years old and is now overfilling. It is like it no longer senses the weight of the load and just fills the basket to the point of overflow. Water all over the Kitchen. on the Quick wash cycle it sometimes does not overfill. I believe the part I need to replace is the Water level & temp controller part #W10248240. I wish to know if that is the correct part for the problem or if not, what I need to do to repair my washer.
You will want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged, kinked, damage or come loose. Also check the air dome to make sure that it is not clogged. If this checks ok then you would want to replace the pressure switch W10248240.
