I have replaced thermal cut off and thersmostat on my dryer because it wasnt heating. It worked fine for 1 day then lights and beeps worked right but drum would not turn I checked thermal fuse like advised. It checked ok, still will not turn did diagnose test 88 and all lights come on and ideas what to try next.
ANSWER Hello Mary,
You will want to check the exhaust thermal fuse to make sure that it is not bad. If it does not have continuity then it is bad. If it is bad then you will want to make sure that your venting is not clogged. Clogged venting will cause duct thermal fuse to fail. If thermal fuse checks ok then you will want to check continuity of the door switch with the door closed you should have continuity.
