Hello, My Kitchenaid wall electric single oven is a model YKEBS107DM5. The oven control panel seems to work ok, but when I put it on BAKE, the element will not heat up and the oven stays Lo. After reading about related problems on the web it seems that the thermal fuser might have blown. I have found the part number (AP3879224) for the fuser, but running a model check says it does not match YKEBS107DM5. However, it seems to match YKEBS107DM6. My questions are (1) is it the thermal fuser problem; (2) What is the difference between models YKEBS107DM5 and YKEBS107DM6? Is the thermal fuser the same for both models?
If the thermal fuse has blown then the oven element would not work. Yes this thermal fuse will work for your unit. You will also want to check at the control board with the oven set for bake for 240 vac from L2 to bake and if there is 240 vac then the control board is faulty.
