Both elements quit working in my Whirlpool built-in oven during the self-clean cycle when the power went out. The control panel seems fine. Are there fuses in the oven some where? How do you test the thermal overload?

Shawn for Model Number RBS305PDQ17

ANSWER Hello Shawn, To test the thermal fuse, disconnect the power supply to the unit and remove the control panel. Reach inside and test from P5-2 (OR) or P5-3 (R) to the red wire at the terminal block. If there is no continuity, the thermal overload is bad and will require replacement to restore normal operation.
