I replaced the broiler element (order 3028814) the top oven will not heat . I checked the wiring in the back and everything looks good
Could it be the thermal cut-off? How do I check it?
ANSWER Hello Henry. If it is both elements, then the cut-off could be bad and should read closed for continuity. If it is just the broil element, you will need to order and replace the control W10406070 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
