Icemaker does not make ice. Water continues to circulate for a long period of time but no ice production. Could the problem be the bin thermistor? If not, any suggestions? Previous sympton was an overflow bin of frozen ice. After removing all frozen together ice the machine no longer produced ice.
Pratt for Model Number GE ZDIC150
ANSWER Hi Pratt. You need to remove power. Remove the panel to access the condenser coils. Is the condenser fan running ? Part # WR60X10217. Check the voltage to it and the connections if not to verify proper voltage before changing. You can also ohm out the cond. motor fan windings if need be for continuity. Are the coils dirty ? If so this will allow the freon to boil and not allow the freeze plate to freeze the water. Thank You.
