can thermostat be tested for continuity with ohmeter or anything else ,if so how.I have replaced control unit evap. coils still freezing up.I tested defrost heater and bi-metal thermostat for continuity, and both look good.I'm thinking it almost has to be thermostat. What do you think?
ANSWER Hello Art. No, the thermostat 2315562 does not deal with the defrost cycle. It has to be the heater or bi-metal or a bad wire in the unit. Re-test the heater without ice on the coils and test the bi-metal when cold. Hope this helps.
