One day water pouring out from the ice maker. I found ice was stuck on the ice maker. I knocked all the ice into the bin but it did not stop. I had shut the water supply to the ice maker. Is it the sensor bad?

Anna for Model Number MSD 2722GRW

ANSWER Anna, You will want to check the icemaker module to make sure that it did not get stuck in the fill position. If the fingers of the icemaker are in the 11:30 to 12 o'clock position then this is the fill position. Check to make sure that the pins in the big gear on the front are not broken. If they are pushed together or one of the pins is broken then the icemaker module W10190935 will need to be replaced. If this is the case it may also be necessary to replace the water valve due to the icemaker sticking could have caused the water valve 61005626 to stick open.
