Does the thermostat on this dishwasher measure "open" with an ohm-meter at room temperature?

ANSWER Hello Greg. Yes, the thermostat should read open at room temp. If it is closed, or does not close at 135° you will need to replace the thermostat 99001981. Hope this helps.
