How to test defrost thermostat 12001937? Does it have to be replaced together with heater?
I have recently bought a defrost thermostat 12001937 here and did a Continuity test right away. I followed exactly as instructed on YouTube from RepairClinic (URL attached). However the result is failed. I also checked PartSelect (URL attached). It says "This part is snapped onto the top portion of the evaporator. The thermostat sends temperature information to the processor. The defrost heater must be replaced when replacing the thermostat." I am now confused. Did I buy a defective one? How do I test 12001937 defrost thermostat? Do I have to replace the heater if it is tested ok?
Thanks
