Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I asked the previous question about the high limit thermostat. You recommended replacing the high limit thermostat and checking the cycling thermostat as well. I ordered both parts and installed them in my Kenmore Gas Dryer. It worked great...for one load of clothes! The first load was nice and hot. The second load was back to the same problem of taking two cycles to dry one load of clothes. I have no idea what to try next. Do you have any idea what part needs to be replaced? Thanks!
ANSWER Hello Jason. Check and see if the high limit blowed. It should read closed for continuity. If it is blown, you will need to replace the high limit W10423382, and check for a clogged or kinked vent. Also check the blower wheel on the dryer and make sure it is not clogged, and the dryer vent inside the dryer is clear. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
