Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
can't find the model number It is a simple model with no extras no clock involved. When I turn the dial to the oven the only place it turns on is just above 450 degrees it does preheat and I can bake some with biscuits and cookies but I really have to watch it they brown really fast on the bottm.
I am not sure if the dial it self needs replaced or thermostat.
I would love to figure out where the model number is I bought this about 2008 from Menards and I selected not alot of gadgets so it may have less to break down about it.
I thought buying it new would also be a plus for me. I really need some help here if you can direct me to the right part I would appreciate it.
Thank you for your time Trudy Utterback
ANSWER Trudy, Before you replace anything, check and make sure the control knobs have not been reversed, by accident (If you have the thermostat knob on the selector switch, or visa versa) you'll get cooking results just like you're describing. Without a model number it's pretty difficult to get you parts and service information. Depending on the age of the stove, you may find the production tag on one of the front flanges, when you open the broiler or storage drawer, or it could be under the right front burner element and drip bowl.
