Regarding original question. Washer works on delicate but not on regular cycles.
Hello Jack. Either the contacts in the timer AP4026633 are bad or the motor is bad. Keep in mind, this is a two speed motor, and delicate uses the low speed. Test at the motor, with the unit on in regular cycle with tub full of water and see if there is power at the black and yellow wires. If so, motor is bad. If not, replace the timer.

I tested motor at black and yellow wires as you suggested. There is no power when timer is set fot regular or permanent press cycles but there is power when timer is set for delicate cycle. Does this mean that timer is defective and motor is good? Can I safely order timer and expect that this will resolve my problem?
ANSWER Hello Jack. That points toward a bad timer 22001026.
