My dryer works, but the timer knob does not function properly. The clothes get dry, but the timer does not move. Do I have to replace the entire timer mechanism or what?

ANSWER Hello Steve. Test for power to the timer motor. If there is power there, and the timer does not advance, replace the timer 306534. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
