dryer will not start when i turn the timer on there is alittle wheel on back of timer going round making clicking noise but nothing happens what could be my problem

Bob for Model Number med5840two

ANSWER Bob, The timer sounds like it's working, so. Make sure you check and reset both brekers at the box. It could be you lost a power leg to the dryer, and the motor won't run. Also check for a faulty door switch 3406107, Make sure you can hear the switch "click" when you press and release the lever. You'll need to remove the front panel and check the thermal fuse 3392519 located on the blower housing. If it has an "open" circuit, it opens power to the motor and the dryer won't start.
