The machine will work on wash cycle but stops, won't spin or drain on any of the cycles. I kept moving it around until I was able to get it to drain. Is this the timer and is it something I can put in.
ANSWER Lea, Your first check needs to be at the lid and the lid switch assembly. Make sure the lid hinges and screws are tight and there's no excess play in the lid, then check and make sure the lid switch is not defective or loose in the mounting bracket and top. The washer can fill and wash with the lid open, but will not drain spin. If the switch and lid are OK, then consider the timer.
