This washer fills with water and will not agitate or spin. When I pull on button all I hear is humming. I tried lid switch bypass and did same thing, Could be timer or motor? What do you think? Thank You for your time Curt

Curt for Model Number LSR8233JQ1

ANSWER Hello Curt, If the timer is powering both the agitate and spin diorection on the motor, you need to replace the timer. If not, and the coupling is good and pump turns, replace the motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
