washer stopped at rince cycle. i tried a few things, took out the timer switch, took timer switch apart and saw that the terminals were somewhat fried with soot like had been arking inside, seems like the terminals are not making good contact .why would this be happening, should i by a new timer?
ANSWER Nixon, You probably should have checked the cold solenoid and cold water supply to the fill valve first. The rinse cycle is automatically cold water, no cold fill. no rinse cycle. Unless you're positive you got all the contacts and terminals back properly, I would replace the timer as well, once you've checked the water supply and fill valve. Thanks and Good Luck
