Our home had a power surge... Since then, dryer heats, but timer does not advance. How do I figure out all that is shorted out/wrong with the dryer?
ANSWER Hi Judy. One way to tell is to make sure that it is not running on Auto-Dry. The timer is the command center of the power distribution to each circuit. It is first in line after the door switch, since you said it is running and heating then the timer part # 8299779 will be the next in line to get the power surge and open the timer motor winds / contacts from turning. Thank You.
