Where do I attach the black lead on the defrost timer for my refrigerator? I don't know if should use continuous or cumulative. Thanks in advance.

Marc for Model Number jrt192w

ANSWER Hello Marc, The black wire should be attached to terminal number 1 in order for it to go into defrost every 8 hours. This is the way I always have hooked up the timer. Even when the units' tech sheet calls for the accumulative wiring, it does not do the efficient job that the continuous wiring does. It prevents any accumulation of ice that isn't removed from the evaporator coils that will reduce unit efficiency.
