I have a Maytag washer top-loading. The control/timer knob, a push and turn one, broke off the shaft. I cannot remove the rest of the shaft that has broken off. How do I remove the broken shaft? How do I fine the part number of the knob.
We would need to have the model number of the washer to properly assist but it sounds like you have broken the shaft of the timer as the knob normally would just slide over the timer shaft.
