Dryer will not heat in timed dry but will heat in auto-dry. Is the timer bad and how can I check it to see? Everything else checked ok

Chuck for Model Number CED137SXQ0

ANSWER Hello Chuck. Yes, it is the timer. You can test for power from the timer to the heater during a timed dry. If there is none, it is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
