I need new knobs for my Whirlpool range top that is about 20 years old. I cannot read the model number any more. I tried buying some replacement knobs in a hardware store, but the spline that fits it into the stove was too short. Is it possible to find any parts for a stove that old?
ANSWER Hello Linda,
If it is possible to locate knobs without the model number, you will be extremely fortunate if they do work. The reason is that there are so many models and so many knob configurations that if you find one that fits, it will be very lucky if they point the correct direction to indicate the temperature properly.
