2 of the 4 burners do not ignite. They are also the higher BTU burners, right front and left rear. I manually light them to use them. Then, if I shut them off, and then turn the controls on again, sparks from the ignitors come on and then the burners work. If the ignitors were faulty, then why do they work after I turn them on again? What is the remedy? Will replacing the ignitors be the solution? I've had this problem for many years. Thanks.

ANSWER Hoover, Replacing the igniters is probably not going to solve your issue. You do need to make sure the burners and the surrounding area(s) are very clean and free of debris. Since this has been an ongoing issue, you also need to check and make sure the power cord is plugged into a 120 VAC polarized and grounded outlet. You'll also need to raise the top and check the igniter wires for shorts to chassis ground and loose connections back to and at the spark module 12001596 if all's proper and OK, replace the module
