My washer when it is on the cycle spin there is a sound underneath and the belt spins, but the washer's agitator doesn't move.

ANSWER Hello Julie. Check and see if the helix 40047402 is bad under the pulley and is not allowing the pulley to rise and release the brakes. If so, you will need to replace the helix on the unit. If the brakes are releasing and the unit does not spin, you will need to replace the transmission W10219148 in the unit.
