My Maytag Washer Model # LAT9206BAE Screams during Agitation, and Spin Cycles. Is it the bearings? If so what part, or parts do I require? Is it an easy job, or even worth doing? Washer is probably 12 years old.
ANSWER Hello Jeff,
I think you are very lucky. The symptom of a bad spin bearing is a squealing, but it won't do this in agitate. When it does it in agitate too, it's normally a foreign item in the pump 12112425 such as a hairpin. If it has been doing this long you should also replace the belts 12112425 as a pair as the belt slipping will cause one belt to stretch out more than the other and cause all kinds of symptoms that can be hard to diagnose.
