My Maytag washer is 14 years old, it agitates and water discharges ok but it does not spin fast enough to take wetness out of clothes like it did before......I'm getting a light electrical or rubber smell and a little bit of water has shown up under the machine.....Is this a tub bearing gone bad?
ANSWER Hello David. Check and see if the bearing is leaking on the unit. If so, and you hear roaring during the spin cycle, then you will need to replace the bearing in the unit.
Comes with bearing kit and new seals for outer tub support bolts. 6-2095720 Seal kit should be replaced at the same time. Spanner wrench is required to complete repair TJ90TB123A.
