Washer has a leak. Trying to replace the tub seal. I purchased the W10219156 / AP4373103 kit. The spanner wrench didn't fit so I use channel lock pliers and could not get the plastic nut off so I used a hammer & chisel. I can't get the hub off now. The whole transmission is turning. 1. Does that mean there is a problem with the transmission now? 2. Can I put a pipe wrench on the transmission without damaging it or how else can I get it to hold still so I can break loose the hub? HELP! Thanks,

Mike for Model Number MAV7600AWW

ANSWER Hello Mike. You need to soak the hub with break away rust buster and let it soak for a few hours and continue to apply the break away. Then using a hammer you swiftly knock the hub a loose from the shaft. You can wedge a 2x4 between the legs and transmission to hold the transmission, but it is not necessary.
