What is making the washer quit after the wash cycle? It won't drain or spin....just sits there soaking the clothes in dirty water!! Upon inspection I did find a 6 in. metal rod, similar to a clothes hanger, in the tub-to-pump hose. Would that stop the drain process if that clothes hanger-like rod was being sucked down into and stuck in the rubber gears of the pump OR do you think that is just a coincidence and it's some other mechanical or electrical problem? I don't want to have to bring the washer back inside if it's not fixed unless that's the only way to test it after removing that little metal rod. Help!

ANSWER Hello Billy. You need to check and see if the lid switch 3949247 is broke and needs to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
