The auger keeps on popping up while in use and easily pulled without any resistance from the base. It does not seem to be locking when pushed down the base. Am I missing a lock? Do I need to replace it?

ANSWER Hello Mr. Otto! Check to make sure that the retention screw W10309247 that holds the auger down has not came loose or has not stripped. If it is ok, replace the auger 21001878. Thanks!
