ANSWER Hello George,
The water valve lines are just pushed up into the water valve. When you feel it seat, push harder and it will "pop" in further. This is the fully inserted position. You then simply pull on the line to fully seat it.
To remove the water line, you push it in as far as it will go and hold the ring around it against the water valve as you proceed to pull the line from the valve. This type of valve is referred to as a john guess fitting.
