My washer doesnt work on the hot water setting on the timer. It wont fill when I try it on the hot water setting. I didnt see a temperature switch so Im guessing its built in the timmer? Checked for clogs (none). My other asumption is its the valve. I use the cold setting but would like to use the hot water setting. What is the grey with yellow connector on the valve for? Thanks

Tony for Model Number 11028322700

ANSWER Hello Tony. The yellow connector is the thermistor for the water valve. You will need to test for power going to the water valve. If there is power there, but no hot water comes out, you will need to replace the water valve 8578340. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
