Sometimes, when filling the washer with hot water (only on largest cycle), the machine will switch to warm toward the end of the fillup. Is this likely to be a faulty valve, faulty control or ...?
ANSWER Al, Your washer is probably operating "normally". The water valve 8578341 has a thermistor or bi metal installed in the water flow. Based on the temperature selected, the water valve cycles the hot and cold water solenoids off and on, in an attempt to reach the prescribed water temperature. A quick, easy check, fill the washer on a hot wash setting, take a thermometer and set it in the water for a few minutes, the water temperature in the tub should be in the neighbor hood of 110 dgrs. F. +/- 10 %. If you're in that range then the washer is working properly. Thanks and Good Luck
