Hi, My Whirlpool GGW9200LW0 Gas dryer has a leak in the gas valve. I ordered and recieved (quickly I might add) a W10480542 valve from you as a replacement. I have propane at the house and need to convert the dryer over to LP, but the new valve has a metal cover over the hole where part #15, #16, and # 17 go (your parts diagram). The metal cover looks like it might be able to be pryed off like a bottle cap and the brass conversion parts installed. Any ideas? Thanks, Nick
ANSWER Hello Dominick,
This will require a conversion kit 49572A. You will have to remove the cover to install this kit. The cover is in place to try to keep unqualified personnel from getting into this part and causing a fire or explosion.
