The ice maker is only filling about half of the tray with water. All water lines are clear and I made sure screen into valve was clear. I did a test I found online where I switched the solenoid power supply wires and pressed the water selection in door. The water ran into ice maker tray as long as door lever was pushed in. Is there anything other than the valve that could be the problem or any test I need to do on the valve? Thank you.

ANSWER Hello Michael,
Since the ice maker fills on a time basis, the issue can be either low water pressure or the valve isn't opening all the way. These are the only things that can cause the complaint. Low water pressure can be a crimped water line behind the unit or a self tapping saddle valve on the home plumbing where the water line to the unit originates.
