What is the name and part number of the plastic flap device on the upper left side of the freezer liner which opens when the freezer door is opened, and closes when the ice storage bin pushes it into a closed position when the freezer door is closed? The plastic hinge broke off of the spring loaded device. It has a small wiring harness that connects to a plastic connector in the freezer liner.
ANSWER Hello Bob,
Believe it or not, it's called a flipper 2198633. It's job is to turn off the icemaker when the door is opened so ice doesn't harvest into the floor.
