My two year old maytag wall oven will not fire up. No glow from the new igniter. All connections are good. I was told that it could be the gas valve that connects to the ignitor.

Henry for Model Number CWG3100AAS

ANSWER Hello Henry. Upon examination of your wiring diagram, I have to agree that the oven valve 74005550 is the problem. I would first check that your shutoff hasn't been inadvertently turned off and if you have a tank in your yard, that it hasn't run dry. The only other thing in the circuit is the regulator74005551. While it is a cheaper part and it is possible for it to fail, the regulator seldom fails. I have seen them fail but the electrical part of the oven valve is more likely to experience failure. I hope this helps you out
