When I place spacer (p/n 85436660)on shaft on top of spanner nut it does not set down flat on nut due to the 1 leg that protrudes on either side of the washer. Am I not installing right or is that the way it sets. Appreciate your help and please keep up the good work as this site is very helpful,I tell all my friends about it!

ANSWER Hello Gary. The leg that sticks down on the washer 8543666 goes into the slot on the drive block so the washer sits flat on the nut.
