Washer makes horribly loud noise when spinning ........ sounds like it's ready to take off and go through the roof ---- repairman changed "Thrust B. Kit" and Belt ----- no change, washer still extremely noisy & repairman unable to find cause. PLEASE HELP !!!
ANSWER Theresa, If the repairman installed the thrust bearing and belt, and adjusted them properly, then the issue would be in the tub bearing assembly 12001598 or the gearcase bearing 35-6615. The bearing failure is usually preceded by a water leak from the washer, which washes the lubricant from the bearing and causes them to make noise.
