My washer started stopping before finishing a load. I can get it to fill, spin and empty, but can't seem to get it to agitate or automatically go from one stage to another. It simply fills and then sits there. If I use the control to forward it to the wash cycle it does not agitate, but if I go to the spin cycle it does empty and spins. I suspect the timer, but don't understand why I can't get it to agitate when manually forced to the wash cycle. The timer does make a ticking sound.
ANSWER Hello Dan. Check the lid switch assembly on the unit and see if it is bad. Also, the pressure switch can cause the issue you are having. The last part to look at tis the timer on the unit.
