We (technician and I) have tried to remove the washplate to not avail. We have tried many tools to pry it up and it still will not come out. I read that an ice pick could be used but I do not know what an ice pick will do.? What to do?
ANSWER Hello Mike. Pry the cap out of the center. Then remove the bolt securing the wash plate. Once the bolt is removed, you will grasp the fins of the wash plate and pull upward to remove the part.
