What is the resistance value of the windings for the fill valve solenoid
ANSWER Hello Greg. The resistance for the windings for this part is 695 to 995 ohms, but can be irrelevant to testing the part under a load condition. Any electrical part in general can test OK, but not be mechanically functional. Make sure the inlet screen is not clogged. You will want to check for voltage (120 VAC) at the valve terminals on a fill cycle. If you get the full voltage while in a fill cycle, then it is bad. The water valve is part # 8531669. If you get 0 vac under a fill load, then the device is good. You can test the wires and control panel at the water valve, if you unhook at least one wire and isolate it for safety, then if you get the 120 vac from the control board relay, then the wires are good. Make sure the float is moving freely up and down. Thanks!
