When I turn the dishwasher on it sounds as if water is filling the machine, but when I open it the dishwasher was dry. I made sure the overflow switch isn't stuck but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

ANSWER Hello Ri,
If the unit isn't making a hissing noise at the beginning of the cycle, the water isn't going into the unit. I would probably change the water inlet valve W10158389 if no shut-offs have been turned off under the sink.
