When I start the cycle, water enters the inlet valve very slowly, then it pauses, and continues filling slowly. After a few seconds, the main pump starts, but the tub is almost empty so there is not enough water to circulate. The pressure going into the inlet valve is fine. The valve itself seems clean (q-tips from both sides). The tube coming out from the inlet valve also seems clear. The resistance across the inlet valve terminals is about 850 Ohms. The float is not stuck. So the question is: do I have a bad inlet valve or a bad controller? (Or is the problem something else?) The reason I'm confused is that the valve lets some water in but does not seem to open all the way - suggesting a bad valve. On the other hand, the controller is allowing the pump to turn on even when the float is down, suggesting a bad controller. So I must be missing something? Any ideas? Thanks!
ANSWER Hello Peter. Based on the information you provided, you need to order and replace the water valve W10158389 on the unit. It is not opening all the way.
