We have a Whirlpool washer and when you begin wash cycle it will fill up with water but will not begin to wash. It does this in both regular and delicate cycle. We usually push in dial and turn the knob to reset the wash cycle and usually this will then make the machine begin to rotate and wash. Sometimes it takes a couple of times. Machine will then go through its cycle. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Shawn

ANSWER Hello Shawn, This can be a failing lid switch 3949247, a failing pressure switch W10339229, a poor electrical connection, or the timer 3953553 could be going into trouble.
