The water pump does not seem to be working. It makes a grating noise when it runs. I took it out and found that the impellar was loose, flopping around inside. I re-attached it, re-assembled it, re-installed it but it still makes a grating noise and doesn't seem to pump very well. I took it out and tested it, it seems to run, the impellar spins when I power the pump, although it does seem weak. I don't want to buy a pump I don't need but I still suspect it's not working right. Last time I ran the machine it pumped for several minutes before stopping and when I removed the pump water poured out of the drain hose -- about 1 gallon, doesn't seem right. The pump label says: Plaset 66114

ANSWER Hello Steve, The drain pump will extract most of the water but there will still be water left in the pump and drain lines. If the pump is making a grating noise then it is on its way out and eventually will need to be replaced.
