What's the part on the back of the refrigerator that goes up from the bottom to the water filler tube? There's floating white stuff in my ice when it melts and I'm not sure exactly what it is. Any ideas?

ANSWER Hello Jeremy. The part you are reffering to is the water valve W10408179. You need to check and see if some of the coating is coming off the icemaker. If so, you will need to replace the icemaker 4317943 in the unit.
